Mariah Carey performed her new single "Bye Bye" and sat for a lengthy interview on Oprah yesterday, plugging the release of E=MC² this week. These damn clips will probably get yanked from YouTube, but before they do, the first one is actually the middle part of the interview, where Mimi talks about the whole breaking of Elvis' chart record thing.
The Big O's looking like she's vigorously enjoying life lately -- as well as the craft services table -- so it's no wonder she spends so much time talking to Mimi about her diet secrets. There's a lot more of the interview, but I always think it's a goddamn pain in the ass to see a blog with four hundred video clips in a post, so F that.
Anyway, Mariah is the guest mentor on American Idol tonight, where the contestants will choose one of her songs. I hope David Archuleta, whom I've dubbed "Baby Queen," does something appropriately scandalous like "Honey" or "Touch My Body."
He'll probably do a boring one like "One Sweet Day," though. Where's Sanjaya when you need him?
