Rugby/ USA wins Shield title/ HSBC Sevens World Series/ Wellington, New Zealand

A good way for the USA rugby team to come home from Wellington, New Zealand before hosting the HSBC Sevens World Series in Las Vegas, Nevada they were able to win when it mattered most. In a competitive match, America edged out France 19-12 in the Shield finals, bringing some new bling bling back home to the promised land.

Overall, I'm pretty impressed and excited to see the USA Mens rugby team compete and do fairly well against other countries around the world. After easily beating Canada 31-7 they advanced to the final against France.

In a much closer match, they weren't dominating France like Canada. I'm not sure if they were anticipating France to be as quick and tough as they were but this match really could have gone either way. However, similar to racing in the 800 meters, its good to preserve that burst of energy for the final stretch of the game. And with time slowly running out, USA did just that. Hopefully they continue with their winning ways when they play in a week from today!

Congrats on winning the Shield title!
