Britain's Got Talent Winner George Sampson Sends Mint Royale To #1

Fourteen-year-old George Sampson's dance performance to Mint Royale's mix of "Singin' In The Rain" during the Britains's Got Talent finals was truly stunning. In turn, the 2005 track tops the U.K. singles chart this week.

Thank goodness for YouTube, 'cause I never watch this shit. Especially when Simon Cowell's involved. But George seems like a sweetheart.

Speaking of kids, 16-year-old Aussie Gabrielle Cilmi gets some Top 10 love finally as "Sweet About Me" makes it to #7 after several months on the chart. Another Amy Winehouse knockoff? Just what the world needs!

Keeping the teen theme going, Chris Brown, 19, debuts at #11 with what I've found to be single of the year so far, "Forever." The push comes from downloads alone, two weeks ahead of a physical single hitting shelves.

On a final note, it's interesting to see Radiohead's "Creep" pop back up (at #37) after 15 years. The band's EMI/Capitol back catalog was finally added to iTunes this past week, and surely, if we had the same chart rules in the States as the Brits do, "Creep" would land on the Hot 100 as well, as it's being downloaded like crazy here, too. Just don't tell Prince.

The U.K. Top 10:

1. "Singin' In The Rain" - Mint Royale *1 week* *new*
