The JLS Video For 'One Shot' Should Have Been The JLS Video For 'Only Tonight'

Much like Shayne Ward's Breathless two years ago, JLS' self-titled album is one of those I'd thrown on my Christmas list (early, since it's an import!) without hearing in full, and had hoped would be somewhat decent.

With Breathless, it was a score. I still cue up that album for a spin at least once every month or so. As for JLS—well, it's about a 7 out of 10, with the mid-tempo, insanely catchy "Only Tonight" and equally sugary "Kickstart" being the main standouts. Some of the Ne-Yo-lite fodder (if you can imagine such a thing) is awful. "Close To You" and "Tightrope" spring to mind.

Anyway, the video for the quartet's "One Shot" was added to their YouTube channel today. Super cheap affair for a so-so choice of a third single.

Of course, compared to the more upbeat jams still left untapped on the album, I thought "Everybody In Love" was a dismal selection for the second single—and that went straight to the top of the U.K. chart.
