Radio Won't Play Britney Spears' "If U Seek Amy" Because It Sounds Like...Well, You Know

So it seems producer Max Martin's creative reunion with Britney Spears isn't being so readily embraced by U.S. radio stations.

In particular, Britney's third single off Circus, "If U Seek Amy," has basically been met with a threatened universal ban from the airwaves.

Now Billboard is saying a parents' organization has its thong in a twizzy, too.

"There is no misinterpreting the lyrics to this song, and it's certainly not about a girl named Amy," says some guy from the Parents TV Council.

I wish someone would've asked this pimp, "Well, what ever do you mean?

Then he would've had to swear, and he'd probably get fired from the board or something. Or maybe Britney would pay him a visit and sit on his mouth.

At any rate, Jive Records has recorded another version of "If U Seek Amy," wherein "Seek" is changed to "See."

That way radio can protect listeners from Britney's suggestive lyrics, when all they want to hear is the classy poetry Akon usually offers.
