So pop website and blogs are alight with talk about the forthcoming U.S version of The X Factor. With rumours circulating for weeks about who will be on the star studded panel of judges, who ever is behind the PR & Marketing, they are doing a grand job. For those who have been hiding in a cave ( like Altiyan Childs ) these last few months, here is what we now know.
So far Simon Cowell, LA Reid and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole have been confirmed! Congrats Cheryl!
Piers Morgan tweeted on hearing the news: 'Congrats to my friend Cheryl Cole on landing US X Factor judging gig. Am available for elocution lessons whenever you like’
Cheryl’s official X Factor press pic was released the day after it was announced she was a judges! Funny these were available so quickly when it wasn't confirmed!
US pop star and former Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger and UK TV presenter Steve Jones will be the hosts for the reality TV show. Slightly miffed by the appointment of Nicole as just a host, however Steve Jones is one HOT welsh man!
Scherzinger said she was "thrilled" with her new job and Jones, said he "couldn't be happier" about co-hosting the programme.
Mr Cowell stated how delighted he is as well "I have always wanted Steve to work with us, I think he is a real star. Nicole is fantastic. I loved working with her on the UK X Factor last year. She is gorgeous and super-talented."
So with 3 judges confirmed, the two hosts locked in, we were awaiting for the 4th mystery judge to be confirmed. With rumours of Mariah Carey or Nicki Minaj being possibly the 4th judge, bookies had Paula Abdul as favourite to return to the screens once again along side Mr Cowell. He’s made no secret of want her by his side once again revealing in several British media interviews that he wanted his former American Idol sparring partner on the X Factor panel.
And according to Hollywoodreporter.com its now confirmed! Paula Abdul just closed her deal to be the fourth judge on The X Factor after a rumored long negotiation. All four judges now head to downtown Los Angeles for the first taping of auditions today!
We can't wait!
The X Factor looks for undiscovered talent from the age of 12 or over, who will be given the chance to win a $5 million (£3m) recording contract. The UK version brought such talents as Alexandra Burke & Leona Lewis! It can catapult an unknown into instant stardom. Lets look at Leona, who can say they had never heard this track before?
