Video Premiere: The Saturdays - Notorious

May 22nd (UK)

British girl group The Saturdays are preparing to release their fourth studio album in the U.K this fall. They stopped by BBC Radio 1 this morning to premiere their new single "Notorious".

The dance/pop track was written by Ina Wroldsen and produced by Steve Mac. The song is a nice up-beat dance track.  I will looking to see where this song charts because the sound a bit different from what they previously done.

"Notorious" will be digitally released in the U.K on Sunday (May 22nd)

Peter Lowey "Sidewalk Scribble" Short Film / 2011 Annecy Youtube Animation Competition

Peter Lowey "Sidewalk Scribble" Short Film is a cool animation piece I just came across. This was Lowey's submission for the 2011 Annecy Youtube Animation Competition. The topic is 'Animation, Land of Freeedom'... I think he was spot on with that topic and the way this came out. Just a cool simple but yet complicated piece. I love the colors and the music especially. And clearly his love and passion for animation is evident... I can dig it, check it out and if you want to vote for it you can do so HERE~

The Mill Visual Effects Studio "Carrot vs. Ninja" Short Film *NEW

The Mill Visual Effects Studio "Carrot vs. Ninja" Short Film... pretty cool piece I just stumbled across. Definitely check this out if you just want to see a random creative piece. This was direct and inked by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan's in particular, with character design and VFX by The Mill L.A. and music/sound design from The Lodge. Now they might also have some sort of deal or contract with Mustang, not sure, but this is a taste of what they can do, check it out~

Video ALERT - Beyonce - Run The World (Girls)

In the Mad Max inspired video Beyonce pulls out some serious dance moves in this video for her new track Run The World (Girls), guys — just watch that girl move!

Francis Lawrence, the man who has the No.1 movie at the minute Water for Elephants, directed the video, which has over 200 strong dancers/extra’s shows once again a different side of Beyonce, her fierceness, her impressive moves, her angry side and her sexy body strutting it stuff in the desert! Great Vid B. Gold Star for you!

Oh and the Hyena's we a first for a pop video!

How many looks can this girl have! She looks STUNNING!

U.S. Chart Roundup: Lady Gaga Redeems Herself After "Judas" With "The Edge Of Glory"

It's a second week for Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, and an eighth week at #1 for her sophomore album 21 on the Top 200 chart. Not only is 21 the only album to cross the million mark as far as copies of an LP sold this year, it's also getting closer to 2 million (right now it stands at 1.7 million since its late February release).

Elsewhere, Lady Gaga's "Judas" looks to be officially dead in the water. The song drops from #19 to #27 on this week's chart, while previous single  "Born This Way" slides still hangs in the Top 20 at #19. Of course, the good news is that "The Edge Of Glory" debuts at #3 and becomes her eighth single to crack the Top 5. Only "Paparazzi" (#6) and "Judas" (#10) charted lower.

And let's face it — while I liked "Judas" at first, it's kind of a dud when compared to some of the hotter tracks from Born This Way (like "Marry The Night" and "Electric Chapel"). That broad needs to step away from the bong and start making better single choices.

Enrique Iglesias' new single "Dirty Dancer" debuts one notch above "Born This Way," at #18 (credit his performance on last week's American Idol results show).

Meanwhile, the True Talent From Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland cracks the Top 30 with her Lil Wayne-assisted single "Motivation." It's at #26, while Beyonce's "Run The World (Girls)" continues its disastrous plummet, this week from #65 to #76.

Jordin Sparks also performed on Idol last week, and her new single "I Am Woman" debuts at #82. Enjoy it, darlin', because it's pretty much off to the stripper pole in Victorville once you're dropped from the label by Christmas.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Rolling In The Deep" - Adele *2 weeks*
2. "E.T." - Katy Perry feat. Kanye West
3. "The Edge Of Glory" - Lady Gaga *new*
4. "Give Me Everything" - Pitbull feat. Ne-Yo, AfroJack & Nayer
5. "Just Can't Get Enough" - The Black Eyed Peas
6. "On The Floor" - Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull
7. "The Lazy Song" - Bruno Mars
8. "Till The World Ends" - Britney Spears
9. "Look At Me Now" - Chris Brown feat. Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes
10. "Down On Me" - Jeremih feat. 50 Cent

Warpaint "Elephants" (Later with Jools Holland) Live Performance Video *NEW

Warpaint "Elephants" (Later with Jools Holland) Live Performance Video ... a friend of mine who recently commented on my documentary part 2 video suggested I check out the group Warpaint. I never heard of em before but I'm feelin em. They definitely have their own sound, kinda funky rock indie alternative... I mean they are probably one of the more actual talented all women groups out. Check out this live performance of "Elephants" live on Later with Jools Holland.

Michael Jackson "Smooth Criminal" Official Music Video/ Throwback Post

Michael Jackson "Smooth Criminal" Official Music Video is such a great piece. Seeing his nephew Austin Brown's new Official Trailer for his album 'Austin 85' made me think, I gotta get a Michael Throwback Post up here asap. This was always one of my favorites. Just smooth Micheal doing what he does his way, yea it's probably been a long time since you checked out any MJ movies or videos... refresh that memory, can't forget a legend like this~

J The S "Call U Snitch" Official Music Video *NEW / 'The Sky Is Falling'

J The S "Call U Snitch" Official Music Video... damn I'm lovin this video. I think the name of the record kinda gives you an idea about where the video is about to go hah. But real talk, director Court Dunn did a nice job with this video helping Jake the Snake get that full package treatment he deserves. I mean so many artist these days pay the biggest and best producers and engineers to master their records... that's how it should be. You want the best work. But than they decide to invest in a $500 camera and direct/ produce the video themselves... That ain't gonna cut it my friends! Take notes, Court Dunn and J the S did it up on this one~

K. Michelle "How Many Times" Official Music Video *NEW / "Just Ain't My Day"

K. Michelle "How Many Times" Official Music Video is a new one just thrown my way yesterday. I honestly can say I don't know much about K. Michelle but I like her... she can sing. And I don't just mean sing, but good enough to have R.Kelly co-sign here. That's an R&B legend right there, and if he sees the potential in here to that extent, than you can only expect more big things to come. And I gotta mention this was written by the talented Sean Garrett... like I said, just some good quality music with a beautiful women and voice behind it~

K.Michelle "Just Ain't My Day"... just listen... I mean watch the video of course hah. It  was directed by Walid Azami, and has some nice shots and cuts and of course the beautiful K. Michelle. But just listen. No matter who you are, Superman, LeBron James, President Obama, shooottt even Oprah, we all have a bad days and it's not to often such a bad thing can sound so beautiful. Enjoy~

It's Beyonce's '4' Album Cover And Super-Flop "Run The World (Girls)" Video

Nice of House Of Dereon's Main Wig Beyonce to be promoting the slaughter of animals on her 4 album cover. And why she gotta jack Shakira's swag? More like 4lop. This trash is out June 28.

The album has been preceded by MEGA-flop single "Run The World (Girls)," which, even after the video premiered on American Idol last night, has only managed to inch its way up to #58 on iTunes.

That looks like one expensive video. It really should have arrived about a month-and-a-half ago. But then again, even this Mad Max-esque farce directed by Francis Lawrence wouldn't have been able to change the fact that this complete abortion of a song sounds like aural road kill.

Official Album Cover: Beyoncé - 4

June 28th (US)

Here is Beyoncé's official album cover for her fourth studio album "4". The cover shows Bee topless, staring at something in the distance, animal draped over her chest.

The artwork is just ok, its not something that blows me away.  But I'm still excited to hear the new music.

Beyoncé's fourth studio album "4" will be officially released on Tuesday (June 28th)

Video Premiere: Beyoncé - Run The World (Girls)

Beyoncé debuts her new music video "Run The World (Girls)" that was produced by Diplo and was directed by Francis Lawrence.

Once I first saw it, I thought it was some crap, but from watching it over and over again, I love it now. The video is strong and the theme was empowering.  The dance moves and the outfits was awesome.

The song is still growing on me.

"4" will officially be released on June 28th.

Yelawolf ft.Trae The Truth "Sh*t I Seen" Official Music Video *NEW

Yelawolf ft.Trae The Truth "Sh*t I Seen" Official Music Video just dropped and I gotta say, Jordan Tower did a nice job with this video. I'm not his biggest fan, not saying I'm a  hater, but I like this video for this record. Both Yelawolf and Trae both went in... but I'm curious whats up with this promo video after the music video. Is this how we're about to start doing it... I think I may have to get on this to be honest hah. But check out the video, if your curious on hearing about this cell-phone watch, than continue watching the video after the music cuts off~

Meek Mill, Gillie Da Kid, and G.I. The General "Push Bricks" Official Music Video *NEW

Meek Mill, Gillie Da Kid, and G.I. The General "Push Bricks" Official Music Video... just that raw and gritty ish. This record is hot, and I actually first heard it a little while ago but for some reason wasn't even thinking of a music video like I usually am. But either way, the video is dope. Directed by Dep, I'm not for the violence or anything, its entertainment, and this my friends, is the total package~

Eddie Griffin (Lebron James Skit) VIDEO / LOL

Eddie Griffin (Lebron James Skit) VIDEO... LOL this is mad funny and just real talk! LeBron leaving Cleavland for Miami really did set off the craziest reaction from mad people... I haven't seen any footage with Eddie Griffin in a minute to so I'm glad WSHH threw this up~

Austin Brown 'Austin 85' Official Video Trailer *NEW / 'Album 85' / Michael Jackson's Nephew

Austin Brown 'Austin 85' Official Video Trailer ...is dope. That's all I would say had I heard of him before this. I mean I thought I was in the loop with my music and all but after hearing this is Michael Jackson's nephew, I'm really surprised I never heard of him before this. He's about to drop his first album called 'Album 85', and with the help of Tom DeSanto, the producer of Transformers and X-Men, we get this dope introduction... well sorta. He did drop one single already... I'll throw up a separate post for that in a few. For now, imagine Michael Jackson's "Thriller" or "Smooth Criminal" videos and just think how dope they would have been with today's technology... well you don't really need to do that anymore, check this out... dancing, some singing and cool graphics and special effects... this is the next Jackson generation~

Beyoncé performs on Oprah (Preview)

Last night, Oprah Winfrey filmed the last episode of her show. A bunch of stars was there to see the show like, Pop legend Madonna, actress Dakota Fanning, Oscar winning actress Halle Berry, 12-times Grammy winning singer Alicia Keys and R&B singer Usher and many more.

Beyoncé performed her lead single "Run The World (Girls)" for the first on Oprah. The single is from her upcoming fourth studio album "4". The show will air on May 23rd and 24th at 4.00PM.

Beyoncé's "Run The World (Girls)" video will premiere tonight on American Idol.  Check out some photos and a fan video of her performance.

"Run The World (Girls)"

Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (TGIF)" Single Cover Is Even Better Than The Remix One

By the time the fifth single off an album rolls around, artists are usually chucking out a by-the-numbers ballad or some subpar track (see Britney's first three albums). But oddly enough, Katy Perry has gone and saved the second-best track for last (?) — "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)."

I say second-best, because we all know that the title track off Teenage Dream was a defining moment not just for this raven-haired hooker, but for pop in 2010 in general.

Anyway, the '80s geek cover art for the regular single goes along great with the one for the remixes, though this one's a bit more elaborate. And kudos to Katy putting decent added touches on the artwork for each cover.

"Last Friday Night" is produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin. My guess is that this will be Perry's fifth #1 single in a row off the so-so Teenage Dream.

So Long Oprah - You Touched Us All!

This is slightly off music “pop” topic however we could not let this event pass as Oprah Winfrey and a plethora of A-list stars joined the Queen of chat show on stage to bid the TV titan a fond farewell last night.

In a sad and historic moment in TV history the chat show queen was "beyond joyous" after a superstar line up of celebrities turned up in Chicago to the taping of her final three shows.

The Hollywood greats were out in force to support her on her final shows, including Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Jamie Fox, Halle Berry, Will Smith, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Simon Cowell, Alicia Keyes, Beyonce and pop queen herself Madonna!

Madge was full of praise saying: "It's no secret that millions of people are inspired by Oprah. I am one of them.

Beyonce aptly sung Run The World (Girls) dressed in a tuxedo for the event.
Legend STEVIE WONDER was also on hand to provide some music, pairing up with singer/actor JAMIE FOXX.
Other stars told stories of the TV Golden Lady’s past, present and future and thanked her for what she has done for everyone in the world. Oprah, after 25 years is retiring from her show to concentrate on her TV network she launched in January 2011.

Oprah’s partner, Stedman paid his own personal tribute at the end the night by concluding;

"I love you for making a difference in my life," adding: "It amazes me that I get to be around a woman who changes people's lives every day and still takes her lunch to work."

Aretha Franklin's appearance on stage seemed to have shocked Winfrey the most.

At the end of recording a visibly moved Oprah took a minute to thank her fans.
She said: "I've never experienced anything like this and I say once again thank you for taking me to a place that's beyond joyous.
"I'm going to have to process it and look at it on tape to see what actually happened here."It feels like the rapture, so thank you all for that!"

Oprah you did Australia proud, she has now done an her farewell arena tour. Oprah, we will miss you! After 25 years you have been in our lives and shared your and others lives. We have cried, smiled, sobbed, laughed and been touched by your programme. We wish you well in your future adventures, however the TV network is a little sadder today as we say goodbye.

FACT: There were 13,000 boxes of Kleenex tissues in the centre – one for each audience member!
