Chart Watch - UK (Dance Edition)

Anyone notice the trend for ALL pop music at the minute to be Dance Pop music!

We go through these trends ever so often, like the "country" phase where we saw Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and such clones entered the charts. Remember the "punk/rock" pop trend where we were introduced to Avril Lavigne & The Veronica's. Then lets not forget when Lily Allen hit the scene, it spawned loads of Mini-Me's across the UK, including Kate Nash & Lady Sovereign. 
Not that we are complaining as its was all good pop!

So we thought we'd make this weeks Uk Chart Watch - Dance edition! 

Katy B - Broken Record

Releasing her third track of her On A Mission album,

first springing to fame providing guest vocal on DJ NG's Ministry of Sound-released single Tell Me (What It Is).

She then was signed as a solo artist scoring two top 5 UK hits with her first offerings and this latest offering entering at No.8. 

Nothing special, just another club track with not much of a chorus, but listenable.

LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem
A slightly weird offering from LMFAO, however has entered into the UK charts at No.3, their nearly highest chart enter worldwide 
(In New Zealand it went to No.1)

LMFAO are an electro hip hop group consisting of two American cousins. This track is taken from their forthcoming second album 
Sorry for Party Rocking.

Did you know? LMFAO came up with their name when their grandmother responded to an Instant Messenger with LMFAO! (Laughing My Fucking Ass Off!)

We are impressed that their grandmother uses Instant messenger!

Jennifer Lopez feat Pitbull - On The Floor

J.Lo scores another No.1 with her hit On The Floor. We're playing this track again as we like the video as Jen look hot and also doubt her next single will make No.1!
