In honor of Black History Month, Doc Rivers was nice enough to keep his word and give me a quick interview after his son's basketball game. This was during the 2010 Spalding Hoop Hall Classic high school basketball tournament. His son Austin Rivers, tore it up, until he almost literally tore something... We later found out it was an ankle sprain. His team Winter Park beat Gonzaga College High 73-69. It was the first time I saw Austin play in person and I was impressed.

So when Austin got hurt and was taken downstairs (at Springfield College), Doc clearly took off to make sure his son was alright. Now considering this is DOC RIVERS (one of the greatest Boston Celtics coaches ever and arguably one of today's best), and I had already approached him and introduced myself before the game, I didn't give up there. Sommeehooww, I made my way downstairs with a few other reporters where Doc quickly hooked up this interview!
