Ever since reviewing Australian duo Bag Raiders' "Shooting Stars" on last week's Pop Trash Addicts Pop Panel, I've been more-than-mildy obsessed with the track.
The Sydney-based twosome—made up of Chris Stracey and Jack Glass—came out with the highest score after the grueling ratings test that is the Pop Panel, and deservedly so! "Shooting Stars" is up there with the best jams by fellow Aussies Cut Copy, another electro outfit I got hooked in recent years. Plus, if their highly-erotic/completely charming Tron-like animated video (directed by Ron Winter) doesn't make you smile—both upstairs and down—then you've got no pulse!For me, "Shooting Stars" is all about the slow buildup to the dyanamic chorus.
