Did Will Young run in a mankini?

At the weekend, thousands and thousands of athletes competed in the London Marathon. The 26.2mile race is seen by many as a great time to dress up in a costume and take to the streets of London to raise money for charity.  One of those was Mr Will Young who said he would run in a mankini if he raised 40,000 grand for Catch 22.

Catch 22 is a young people's mentoring scheme and Young hoped to inspire young people by taking part, even though he was running with an injured knee.

Will said: "You haven't seen me run yet and I do run a little like I need the loo, but I'm trying my best."

He added: "I've been a patron with Catch 22 for a year and we've got about 150 places around the country for young people, largely concentrated in metropolises and we catch young people, at a crucial time, when their lives can go one way or the other.

We see from the pictures that Will obviously didn’t make his target as we see him in this picture fully clothed here! However he did raise a lot of money for this worthwhile cause. Good on you Will!

(We wonder what else we can challenge him to do, to wear a mankini?
