A ferocious tsunami spawned by one of the largest earthquakes on record slammed Japan's eastern coast on Friday March 11th 2011, killing hundreds of people as it swept away ships, cars and homes while widespread fires burned out of control.' And although the tsunami/ earthquake has stopped, they still face an uphill battle as they struggle to regain control of a few nuclear power plants from completely erupting. So again, even if you can't help them directly, your thoughts and prayers can be just as, if not more, effective.
If you literally only have a few dollars to your name, you can still help. There are relief funds all over the place like American Red Cross and The Salvation Army among others.
