Silly me—I thought web series went the way of the late '90s, along with books on the web, Y2K and Lolly. Alas, when you have Joss Whedon and his brother Jed touting your show, apparently anything is possible.I read this item from BBC News this morning about The Guild, an independent online sitcom about gamers that's going into its third season. To promote the upcoming episodes, the cast members recorded a slightly Ace Of Base-y pop jam, "Do You Wanna Date My Avatar," with the show's star Felicia Day on lead vocals.
The video (below) was posted three days ago and already has nearly 2 million views. And the single has shot to the top of U.K. iTunes.
