The Noisettes' pleasant little indie-pop ditty "Don't Upset The Rhythm (Go Baby Go)" arrives at #2, on the strength of the song's use in a Mazda ad.
Check out leggy, charismatic Noisettes singer Shingai Shoniwa (pictured above) shake her cans in the video:
La Roux stick around at #11 for a second week with their electro jam "In For The Kill." As mentioned yesterday, the pair will be hitting the U.S. for a handful of club dates ahead of their album release this summer.
Pet Shop Boys' "Love etc." drops from #14 to #27. However, now the dust has settled on the week's album-chart battle, and the PSBs have managed to debut at #4 with Yes. This is the duo's highest entry for a studio album since Bilingual also reached #4 in 1996. Previously, Fundamental (2006) made #5, Release (2002) #7 and Nightlife (1999) #7.
Incidentally, Neil Tennant confirmed on The Graham Norton Show last week that "Did You See Me Coming?" will be the second single released off Yes.
