With June fast approaching we just can't help to find out more about Kylie's forthcoming tour. So we were interested to hear that new girl band The Ultra Girls would be supporting the princess of pop.
Seems TUG (That’s The Ultra Girls abbreviated!) want to do a Spice Girls for the 21st Century by adding “adding slick dance moves, funky vocals and lashings of attitude”. Not sure the Spices would agree they didn’t try and do that the first time!)
Lucy, Lauren, Amy and Laura all from Leeds UK, say they are the “perfect antidote” if you are bored of the indie or tacky ballads. So what do they do differently? Well according to their Facebook page
“these are the sort of girls you’d see on a Saturday night leading a nightclub full of people to a made up dance routine”
Hmm seems familiar, like when Steps were BIG and you saw grown men doing the Tragedy dance routine. Sad.com!
Continuing saying “We’re young and fun. We want you to dance with us, wear your trackies with us and go crazy. It’s not ‘look how sexy we are’ its girls singing about girls lives, not taking it too seriously or being too polished”
Hmm still not sure, we think they are just trying to rebadge what the Spice Girls did! Least they haven’t got nicknames...yet! However, we will hold judgment till we see them. Here is there first single Girls Will Be Girls.
