How to cook Shrimp in a pan / Ace and the Chef in the Kitchen / with Guest Chef Disco Dave- (TEST)

Personally speaking, January was a pretty good start to 2011! With MOVESMITHS starting to make progress and the surrounding community continuing to prosper, I'm very hopeful for the rest of the year. I'm always excited for whats to come on a global scale, but I'm especially anxious for Massachusetts and the rest of New England.

With the Boston Celtics tearing things up, Showoff Records with Statik Selektah, REKS and Termanology, dudes like Slaine, Masspike Miles, John Howard and Joe Lauzon, groups like Varsity Girls and Bad Rabbits, and women like Dutch ReBelle, Ms Sheek and Sarah Blacker, the local scene has already blown.

Now I'll be honest, my newest adventure isn't anywhere near as exciting as the artist or individuals mentioned above, but my new cooking series is perfect to follow along with, if your looking for a quick fix before catching up on everything happening in the news and around your local scene. I'd personally rather catch up on new music or sports after eating a nice meal when I wanna just kick it and relax, you know!!

Ace and the Chef in the KITCHEN, might be a new web series dedicated to sneaks made easily. Now I can't say I'm a bad cook, cause I'm one of the best when it comes to the four or five things I can make (grilled cheese, pasta, tuna fish, or peanut butter and jelly sandwich's), but I can say I feel more confident when I'm cooking with some sort of assistance or guidance.

Well this is basically the video version of cooking for dummies. I'm not calling you a dummy if you cant cook, cause honestly I'm not the best cook as I said, but this is basically my way of taking down notes... since I went threw the process of making this meal.

Cooking + my passion for Video and Music production =

"Pan Fried Shrimp"

This first edition is how to make pan fried shrimp from your stove. As I said, I'm not a chef, so I don't even have a grill right now (I am intending on getting one in the near future hah) so my oven, stove and microwave are all I know... mainly microwave or stove top. So here are some simple steps you can follow to make some delicious shrimp!

You can add whatever seasoning and cook the shrimp however long you would like but the actual cooking process should be rather quick.

WHAT YOU NEED;
Shrimp
Oil or Butter
Seasoning

Steps
1) Make sure the shrimp is thawed. You can run under hot/ warm water to quicken the process if frozen

2) Wash the shrimp under cool water

3) Let it sit in a strainer for a minute or two

4) Heat the stove top at a relatively high temperature (if you would like you can add a tablespoon of oil or butter)

5) You should separately lay the shrimp on the pan one by one

6) You can add seasoning of your choice here

7) Flip the shrimp when it starts to lose its transparency and starts getting some color... but not too much!!

8) You can flip it back over if you would like but you most likely don't need to ( You don't want to loose all the flavor or burn it)

9)  When both sides have good color, its done...

10)  ENJOY!

The Video;
It was shot on the Canon EOS 7D using the 85mm f/1.8 USM Lens. I shot it at 1920x1080 at 30fps with manual focus on the cameras AV Mode.
Without  adding any contrast, color correction or any other effects, I did adjust the speed in some shots during post production. I also wanted to test the final quality of the footage after downsizing the final rendered version to 1280x720. I personally think it still looks great... the footage and food!
