So I've finally gotten my hands on the Canon EOS 7D... and with the snow coming down I decided to give it a shot. First giving my niece, Isabella, her first modeling experience. Second is some basic shots of Newton- Wellesley lower falls. And last but not least is a quick test using G.Nellz, Owner/ Founder and Editor in Chief of MOVESMITHS L.L.C.
I put the camera settings on the actual video description on my YouTube page if your curious about that.
The one thing I will repeat is that I do not recommend filming with a monopod but instead a tripod. If you NEED to move than get a dolly or steady cam. In the near future I'll also have experimental videos using a tripod, dolly, crane and steady cam... among other new cool equipment.
The G.Nellz footage was actually the first thing shot with the camera. The more I experiment the more comfortable I'm getting with the DSLR camera. Many people don't realize how different an actual video camera is from a DSLR. Coming from the Canon GL1, the Canon 7D is definitely a leap into the future.
