The Four Hottest 2010 Grammy Nods

Wow. The Grammys. Always a rip-roaring adventure. Sarcasm aside, besides the overall Beyonce and Taylor Swift lovefest this year, there were a few bona fide decent nominations. (The full list of the bazillion nominees is up at the official Grammy website.)

1. The Lonely Island & T-Pain, "I'm On A Boat" for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration

This is hot on so many levels, not the least of which for the fact that "I'm On A Boat" is up against "classy" songs by Jay-Z, T.I. and Beyonce. Please, please, please let it win!

2. Pet Shop Boys, Yes for Best Dance/Electronic Album

Yes x 10. They didn't win when they were nominated for Fundamental three years back. Thankfully Yes is a far superior album. That said, the Boys face stiff competition here from David Guetta, Lady Gaga, LMFAO and The Crystal Method.

3. MGMT up for Best New Artist and Best Performance From A Pop Duo Or Group (for "Kids")

These fuckers deserve it. They were dismal live when I saw them, but their music stands on its own, regardless.

4. Lady Gaga up for Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Best Dance Recording, Best Dance/Electronic Album

Sorry, haters, but she totally earned it. Give in to the monster.
