That said, "If I Were A Boy" is kind of a groovy slow jam, and seeing it jump from #68 to #3 on Billboard's Hot 100 makes me...well, okay, there's really nothing else to mention this week—other than Adele's "Chasing Pavements" debuting at #82—so yay, Beyoncé, etc.
Ultimately, it'll be interesting to see how her upcoming double album performs in these times when albums are by and large being met with disappointing returns. Will she be like Alicia Keys last year this time—huge lead single, decent sales during the holidays, then a complete disappearing act?
