In arguably the biggest event of the decade, Prince William and Kate Middleton said “I Do” at Westminster Abbey today (April 29) before thousands of guests and millions of viewers around the world.
Following their Royal wedding, William (the Duke of Cambridge) and Catherine (the Duchess of Cambridge) were escorted to the Royal Carriage where they began their journey to Buckingham Palace.
In front of guests like David and Victoria Beckham and Elton John, William and Kate prayed a prayer they had written themselves- “God our Father, we thank you for our families; for the love that we share and for the joy of our marriage. In the busyness of each day keep our eyes fixed on what is real and important in life and help us to be generous with our time and love and energy. Strengthened by our union help us to serve and comfort those who suffer.”
Coming up next, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at 1:25pm to follow in Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana’s footsteps and share a much-anticipated kiss.
