End Of The Road For Alex Gardner?

Truly deserving of an ear-shattering out-loud OMG! is the news of the chart placing for Alex Gardner's latest single "Feeling Fine." In fact, yesterday when I was writing the UK chart roundup post, I looked for where the Xenomania protege's latest came in at, but couldn't find it.

Turns out that's because, as the fine folks at Xenofansite tweeted today, "Feeling Fine" limped in at #140. And here I was lamenting the #44 placing of "I'm Not Mad" back in April!

Bad decision to go with the mediocre "Feeling Fine" as a single, when really everything depended upon a surefire hit after "I'm Not Mad" failed to crack the Top 40.

Maybe those in charge should have opted for moody jam "Heartbreak"—though that one doesn't really scream "smash," either, does it? Sigh.
