Clearly not one to let publicity—even if it's bad—go to waste, Kelly Rowland is taking advantage of this week's news that she was dropped from Columbia Records to make another announcement.(Former?) Destiny's Child member Kelly wrote on her blog, "I have some wonderful projects in the works. I've been meeting with old friends, girls you may already know, and the talks have been great. Everyone is looking forward to this new alliance and we plan to surprise you!"
This was "reported" by Soul Bounce (on April Fool's Day, mind you), which speculates the "old friends" mentioned are original DC members Latavia Robertson and Letoya Luckett. So—totally legit!
Also, Media Takeout has picked up on this classiness that was posted on Russell Simmons' website:[Beyonce's father and Destiny's Child manager] Matthew has been unfair to Kelly from the gate in regards to her career. I guess this is his way of winning favor with Tina Knowles for having this out of wedlock child so long ago?Is that the Beyonce-pocalypse I hear screeching over the horizon?
And even convincing Tina to allow his lovechild from another to move into the Knowles abode? And bringing this memory of infidelity into Golden Child Beyonce’s Girl Group? Next time just jerk off in the mirror Matthew because you’re ruining lives AND careers!
