Lady Gaga's new video is such trash I think I need to cleanse my soul with this clip of new Britney Spears song "The Big Fat Bass," which was produced by will.i.am. Oh, fuck—what am I saying?
Fergieney sounds like a total robot ho, and this might as well be "The Time (Dirty Bit) Pt. II," it's so bland. The only good part is that slightly house-y piano at the beginning.
Pop music in 2011 may have just seriously jumped the shark today.
Although Max B is still locked up from the 2009 botched robbery/ murder case, I'm just getting my hands on a brand new Max B banger. Off of his album VIGILANTE SEASON, his first single to drop is "Money Make Me Feel Better". Directed by Nicolas Heller, I think its creative considering the circumstances. Check it out!
Like I said, I think its creative but how many of these videos are they gonna do if their dropping an album? My guess is, while he was recording these records that week before getting locked up, he recorded a good amount of footage that they'll slowly release threw time. If not, that sucks hah cause it would be good to see some new Max B videos with him actually making appearances.
Max B's debut album 'Vigilante Season' is gonna be out on March 29th, 2011 on Amalgam Digital... yeaa I'm lookin forward to hearing what else is in store~
Hip-Hop legend Dr. Dre released the music video for his new single "I Need a Doctor". The track features Eminem and rising star Skylar Grey. The video was directed by Joseph Khan.
Eminem and Dre paired up with producer-of-the-moment Alex Da Kid. The track "I Need a Doctor" has became a hit, it has landed at #4 on Billboard Hot 100.
If you're looking for a sci fi-themed music video infused with a bit of menace that's a far more enjoyable ride than Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," then look no further than Take That's "Kidz."
The UK man band arrives from outer space and invades the Earth to have a little song and dance in the clip for their second single off their smash album Progress. It's a simple concept—albeit one that borrows from several recent movies—but it works.
I have tickets to see these hot pieces live in Italy in four-and-a-half months. Can't wait!
Willow Smith's highly-anticipated second single has finally here. Her first single "Whip My Hair" managed to top the charts worldwide. Now she is ready to keep moving with her new single "21st Century Girl".
The dance/pop track is not as catchy as her first single but I think it will still managed to be another chart topping single for her. The video for the single was shot last month and is set to premiere soon. Willow is set to perform the song on Oprah Tuesday March 1st.
On the same day the song will available for purchase exclusively on iTunes (3/1).
Alright, all you Madonna loons. Let's just get this out of the way right up front. There are absolutely no similarities between Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and Madge's "Vogue" music videos...
...none at all.
I have to say, while I defended the song two-and-a-half weeks ago when it premiered, the Nick Knight/Haus Of Gaga co-directed video for "Born This Way" falls into the same trap the one for "Alejandro" did: dark, depressing and doesn't match the feel of the song at all.
What's with all her clips made for the gay community being these dreary, murky gloom fests, while sassy lady-anthem jams like "Telephone" get bright, eye-popping vids?
So here it is, Lady Gaga's new music video for "Born This Way". The visual was directed by fashion photographer Nick Knight.
Overall I really liked it. The intro I could have done without. The video was her vision and interpretation of the birth of a new race. Do I think that this is one of her best videos? No, but she hasn't in my opinion put a bad video out. I will say also, this was hyped up a little too much.
In the end, she looked incredible, dancing was great.
Adele's sex tape—sorry, album—21 was finally released in the U.S. this past week, and is on track to debut at #1 of the Billboard Top 200. But in the UK, her sex tape has been inserted in the VCR for the past five weeks. She also thrust her ballad "Someone Like You" at the top of the UK singles chart, where it stays for a second week.
Let's just hope Adele's sex tape is nominated for 69 Oscars next year, because that's the only way the Academy will redeem itself from the utter shit telecast happening right now.
PS Been traveling this weekend. Back to normal trash tomorrow.
The UK Top 10:
1."Someone Like You" - Adele *2 weeks* 2. "Price Tag" - Jessie J feat. B.o.B 3. "S&M (Come On)" - Rihanna 4. "Rolling In The Deep" - Adele 5. "Champion" - Chipmunk feat. Chris Brown 6. "Good Girl" - Alexis Jordan*new* 7. "Grenade" - Bruno Mars 8. "Born This Way" - Lady Gaga 9. "Yeah 3X" - Chris Brown 10. "(Fuckin') Perfect" - Pink
Swedish singer/songwriter Lykke Li is set to release her second album "Wounded Rhymes" tomorrow February 28th. For the impatient fans, here is the entire album now stream via SoundCloud. On the first listen the album seems a lot than her debut "Youth Novels", but still a solid piece of work.
Lady Gaga made an appearance on the Gayle King Show earlier this week to discuss her latest single "Born This Way". She announced plans to release 2 versions of the video, 1 of them are premiering tomorrow online at 11am EST (4pm GMT).
The second will be more stripped-down version of the song and video. It will be released on iTunes at a later date. Proceeds from this version will go to anti-bullying charities.
Nicki Minaj has announced the next single from her platinum-certified debut album, "Pink Friday". The track will be on the radio on March 8th. It will serve as the 5th single from LP. Her 4 previous singles made it in top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100.
This is my least favorite song on "Pink Friday" album. I hoping for "Same Me", "Roman's Revenge", or "Fly".
The performances that Adele has been are paying off because its keeping her at the top of the iTunes chart. "21" is still sitting at #1, while her first album "19" has went up to #3. Her single "Rolling in the Deep" is currently #26 on the Billboard Hot 100.
And last, the first-week sales predictions for "21" has risen again. She was to expected to sell 275-300k, but now Hits Double Daily are predicting that it could go over the 300k mark.
Some bad news for all the Girlicious fans out there, members Chrystina and Natalie has left the group for unknown reasons. Nichole is still in the group and will apparently move on I guess with a new line-up. The message was posted on their official Facebook page.
I kinda felt this was going to happen. Some rumours says that they left due the low album sales from their second album "Rebuilt". I don't know if it is true or not, but it is a possible reason because their singles wasn't doing well. "Rebuilt" was a good album but it didn't do as well, compared to the first.
In Robin Antin case, I'm wondering what she's going to do. It seems like to me that her music groups she built or helping to build are just crumbling right before her eyes:
The Paradiso Girls: I know that Robin didn't create the group, she did have a helping hand with some of the stuff that they have done. The group got dropped from their label and has official disbanded.
The Pussycat Dolls: Now, with this situation, their is more than one person to blame for the break-up including Robin, but I'm not going to go in because I've already expressed how felt about this. Nicole did announced earlier this year that she was leaving to pursue her solo career.
Girlicious: And finally Girlicious, at moment there has not been an official statement on the reason why that they left, but in this case I don't think Robin had anything to with it there departure.
I'm going to be looking out to see what she's going to with the PCD and Girlicious now.
Wiz Khalifa's official album cover for his debut LP, "Rolling Papers," is above.
Wiz first single, "Black N Yellow," has become a huge hit and the album is set to feature production by the likes of Jim Jonsin, Benny Blanco, Stargate, Rick Ross, Too $hort, Snoop Dogg and Curren$y.
Adele’s US promotion continued with two big televised performances. The British soul singer started her day with ballad and second single "Someone Like You" live on Ellen. Then she stopped by Jimmy Kimmel with a performance of her anthem "Rolling in the Deep".
This was one of the records from ILL Bill that I thought should of gotten more attention. Produced by Dj Premier, "Society is Brainwashed" is a dope conscious record. And with the efforts of director Jim Starace, this video is still sick years later. Definitely a worthy record and video to mention in a throwback post. Check it out.
So Canon recently released the Rebel T3i / 600D. Personally, from what I've gathered after seeing the specs and some sample footage, this is basically the same as their T2i / 550D. The main difference is the Flip Swivel LCD Screen on the T3i, aside from that, they're pretty much the same.
The Canon T3i has the Swivel LCD and the ability to digital zoom while shooting video...
Here is a test video of some raw footage of the Canon T2i
A low light test with the Canon T2i
Here is some demo footage of the new Canon T3i
More test footage of the Canon T3i
When its all said and done, if money isn't an issue, than I'd buy the T3i over the T2i. But if you are on a budget and you plan on making movies or videos than you need to spend your money more wisely and consider the T2i.With the money left over from the Canon T2i you might want to stock up on extra batteries, or an additional charger.
And since these two cameras are so similar, and the T3i came out so soon after the T2i, I don't think the next model is coming out anytime soon.
Jesus, I travel for one day and Ke$ha has to go and release her video for "Blow," which features laughing unicorns, rainbow laser guns and cheesy (literally) dialogue and sexy flirtation between the New Queen Of Soul and James Van Der Beek. The classiest part is when he reaches into his shirt and rips off his black bra.
And just what is it about a campy video that can often make a highly mediocre song seem listenable? Major bonus for "James Van Der Douche."
P.S. still not understanding how this trash tune took six writers and four producers to get made.
If you haven't seen Kobe Bryant's first lead role as an actor in a short film, here it is. The Black Mamba starring Kobe Bryant, Bruce Willis, Danny Trejo and Kanye West. This short film is clearly a commercial designed to sell Kobe, as well as Nike trainers. Since this is a Nike Basketball Production, there was an estimated budget of $3,050,000 spent on this film. Directed by Robert Rodriguez, it's clear to see he had no issue spending it hah.
THE BLACK MAMBA
Here's an interview with Kobe Bryant and Director Robert Rodriguez as they speak about the short film, The Black Mamba.
And if you wanna see Kobe tearing it up on the big screen, check out Spike Lee's documentary, KOBE DOIN' WORK: A Spike Lee Joint
Today, Ke$ha has premiered the music video for her latest single "Blow". The singer gets into a laser match with Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek and more.
Ke$ha looked good in the video, but I really didn't like too much.
The single “Blow” is currently at #32 on the Billboard Hot 100, it has been climbing due to digital sales and increasing airplay.
If you're outside the US and can't view the video below, go to Direct Lyrics.

In this week's upper tier of the Billboard Hot 100, there are three songs produced by Stargate ("Firework," "S&M," "Black And Yellow"), three with the word "fuck" in the title ("Fuck You," "Fuckin' Perfect," "Tonight (I'm Fuckin' You)," two co-written by Bruno Mars ("Fuck You," "Grenade"), two containing the word "lesbian" in the lyrics ("Born This Way," "Black And Yellow"), one with "transgendered" in the lyrics ("Born This Way") and one with the word "faggots"("I Need A Doctor").
That's a shame about Dr. Dre's "I Need A Doctor," because I truly love Skylar Grey's haunting chorus on the single. And I've really come around to Eminem, who, after a seemingly hostile-toward-the-gays start, has said he has no problem with gay marriage and is besties with Elton John (did you catch Sir Elt's Rolling Stone cover story a few weeks back? Traaaaaashy—though read the whole thing if you get a chance. Good stuff.)
But it's Dre himself who drops the F-bomb in "I Need A Doctor" when he raps, "When the chips were down you just laughed at us, now you about to feel the fuckin' wrath of Aftermath, faggots." Okay, so the good (?) doctor is using the term in a general sense, targeting all the fair-weather MCs who turned their backs on him when he took a chance mentoring young white rapper Em. But still—faggots. It's 2011. Really?
Wonder what gay rights activist Lady Gaga, who has her own brand of headphones under Dre's "Beats By Dr. Dre" line, thinks? Maybe we're just not supposed to talk about it...
Elsewhere, Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" drops out of the Top 10 and lands at #11 in its sixth week on the chart, while Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" finally cracks the Top 40 by jumping 15 positions to #26. Previously the British singer reached #21 with her 2008 single "Chasing Pavements."
Meanwhile, Adele's 21 was released in the States this week, and is on track to debut at #1 on the next Top 200 album chart. Bet you won't catch her using "faggots" in a song.
The U.S. Top 10:
1. "Born This Way" - Lady Gaga*2 weeks* 2. "Fuck You" - Cee Lo Green 3. "Grenade" - Bruno Mars 4. "I Need A Doctor" - Dr. Dre feat. Eminem & Skylar Grey 5. "Firework" - Katy Perry 6. "Fuckin' Perfect" - Pink 7. "S&M" - Rihanna 8. "Never Say Never" - Justin Bieber feat. Jaden Smith 9. "Tonight (I'm Fuckin' You)"- Enrique Iglesias ft. Ludacris & DJ Frank E 10. "Black And Yellow" - Wiz Khalifa
Booooooring. This WeaveneyFemme Fatale album track was produced by Bloodshy and Avant ("Toxic," "Radar," "Piece Of Me"), and isn't nearly as catchy (so far) as "I Wanna Go" and "Inside Out."
Here is the first listen of Avril Lavigne's fourth studio album "Goodbye Lullaby" that drops March 8th. The first single "What The Hell" has done well peaking to #10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
From listening to it, this album is very grown up compared to her last LP "The Best Damn Thing". It sounds like this album is very stripped down.
My favorite tracks so far are "Smile", "4 Real", "Remember When". So I'm hoping one of these get chosen for second single.
This album is a great listen. Take a listen to it.
It seems like Ciara is refusing to let her record label drama get her down. While on the red carpet, she had a chat with Rap-Up about her future plans and current situation.
CiCi told Rap-Up that she has some TV projects in the works, will be heading overseas soon for some international shows like Australia’s Supafest in April, and that she’s still focused on music and working on her songwriting.
She also confirms that her single with Usher "Turn It Up" will not be receiving a music video. Of course, this not shocking because Ciara told the public about her record label doing her dirty and is begging them to drop her. If you haven't read Ciara's letter from Facebook go here.
My favorite part in the overly-melodramatic video for Hurts' new single "Sunday"? When synth-playing background dude Adam Anderson hangs around looking glum in a driver's cap, a la Pet Shop Boys' own synth-playing background dude Chris Lowe in their 1988 video for "Heart."
My favorite quote about the "Sunday" vid from Hurts frontman Theo Hutchcraft? "We go to an exotic, beautiful place, think of a theme that no-one else will understand except us, and surround us with women so people won't ask us what it's about!"
In this case that exotic, beautiful place is Romania. The "Sunday" single is officially released in the UK this coming Monday, February 27.
Ke$ha has announced she will be releasing "I Am The Dance Commander + I Commander You To Dance: The Remix Album" on March 22nd.
This will be her first remix album set to feature DJ Skeet Skeet, Fred Falke, Dave Aude and more. The remix's will come from her hit albums "Animal and Cannibal".
Selena Gomez is back with The Scene working on a new album and getting ready to put out a new single. I wasn't really a big fan of Selena until I heard "Round & Round".
Her new single is titled "Who Says", she is set to do an interview with Ryan Seacrest on March 10th were she will exclusively premiere the song. Her record label Hollywood Records said:
"the song is an up-tempo anthem of self-empowerment"
The song will be available to download March 14th, the video for the new single has been filmed and will premiere on the Disney Channel March 11th.
At the moment the new album does not have a title yet, but the LP is set to drop June 28th.
Here is the first look at the single artwork for Jennifer Hudson's first single "Where You At", from her sophomore album "I Remember Me", that's set to drop on March 22nd.
J-Hud poses in a black-and-white cover, shot by photographer Anthony Mandler, who also directed her video for the R. Kelly-penned song.
The music video debuts tomorrow, February 24 on VEVO.
Adam Lambert's upcoming live album will be released on March 22nd, right along with the Glam Nation Tour DVD and to promote it he has released "Sleepwalker" in some countries already.
The song was written by Ryan Tedder, Aimee Mayo and Chris Lindsey and produced by Ryan Tedder. The electric guitarist for the song is Orianthi, another RCA artist.
DISTANT RELATIVES Damian Marley and Nas collaborated on the record "Patience" and recently came out with the official music video. Its great when you have an ill record, but when the video is just as good... then thats whats up.
"Good Man" off of Raphael Saadiq's forth album, 'Stone Rollin', is the first single to be released! Saadiq has always been one of my favorite artist, he's a sick producer, great writer and singer. I'm looking forward to hearing the new album.
The official music video for "Good Man" is more like a short film. And I know that's the thing to say these days, but legit, this looks like it could be a short film. Directed by Isaiah Seret, the video features Chad Coleman from 'The Wire', as well as the season three runner-up from Tyra's 'America's Next Top Model', Yaya DaCosta.
A well written and produced song, the music video was on point for this record. Check it out!
Jessie J her brand new single "Casualty of Love" on US iTunes today.
The soulful R&B ballad "Casualty of Love" feels more like "Jessie" because it shows her true vocal talent. I love "Do It Like A Dude" and "Price Tag" but I like it, that she's bring it down a bit from the up-tempo tracks and showing a more valuable side.
If you live here in the US, "Casualty of Love" has been made available today.
Adele’s sophomore album 21 is predicted to top the Billboard 200 next week with sales in between 225-250k.
Adele is set to the highest first-week sales since Taylor Swift’s Speak Now, that sold 276k at the beginning of January.
Adele’s does have a strong promotional campaign, she had a TV performance of "Rolling in the Deep" live on David Letterman. The track is becoming a hit here in the US, reaching to #41 on the Billboard Hot 100 and still climbing the charts.
In the UK, "21" has already sold over the 500k and is still top for four consecutive weeks. So far it looks like it will be one of the best selling albums of 2011.
To be honest, I didn't think that "21" would except to sell this much here in US, but then again why wouldn't it, it is a great album.
So I just stumbled across this on YouTube... probably one of the funniest things I've seen so far this year. I don't watch Family Feud but this clip is great! And Steve Harvey is the man. I hadn't seen him in awhile but I'm glad he was the host when this happened. Just watch it... especially to any smokers... and I don't mean cigarettes!
But as funny as this video is, I think its a clear statement about our country. Keep in mind the show Family Feud questions random American citizens all throughout the country. But as we, as a nation, are given more facts about cannabis, it's clearly becoming more acceptable. And as funny as the woman's answer was, her answer came below the guys joint response... just sayin hah~
Rihanna announced on February 9, 2011 that she will be embarking on a World tour dubbed the "Loud" tour, in support of her latest "Loud" album. The tour will kick off in June in Baltimore and will finish in December in Lisbon.
"We're creating an incredible ride with this tour. I'm excited to get out on the road and share my new music from this album," the pop diva said via a statement. "We are going to have an amazing time and I know my fans are ready to get LOUD!"
Cee-Lo Green will be the opening act on the North American leg of the tour.
